The Sustainable FERC Project is working to produce a public report that would provide specific recommendations for changes and improvements in RTOs’ existing public participation practices to serve as the basis for future advocacy on reforms. As FERC examines these issues, we are particularly interested in hearing perspectives from environmental justice and community-based organizations, scholars and leaders on your familiarity with RTOs and their public participation processes, your level of current participation (if any) in these processes, and your feedback on areas for improvement.
FERC will hold two virtual sessions for groups and individuals to provide feedback on existing RTO decision-making and public participation processes and recommendations for reforms. The feedback conversations will be held on Friday, January 28, 2:30 – 4PM ET, or on Monday, January 31, 7:30 – 9:00 PM ET. To participate in either of these sessions (you only need to attend one), please fill out the following, separate registration form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfDc1QwI-RW2CmkG7N07s7NSWn15qv6rUilC3vmpZOqhoYFMA/viewform?usp=sf_link
If you cannot attend one of these dates, but wish to participate and provide feedback, please indicate that on the form. A third option will be made available if there is sufficient interest, and individual conversations can also be arranged. You can also use the registration form to provide your comments or questions.
